ISTCL wins Critical Incident RFP

In a week of success, ISTCL is pleased to announce that it has been awarded an RFP for the development of a Crtitical Incident Tracking System in the Long Term Sector by the Continuing Care eHealth Council for the The Long-Term Care Homes Branch of the Ontario Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care.

Following on recent project successes in strategy, management consulting and system development activities, for various health care related public, broader public and private sector clients, ISTCL continues to develop a strong market presence in Ontario. According to Sylvia Bethlenfalvy, ISTCL Director of Sales, "The business and economic case for selecting ISTCL for your Business, IT Consulting and IT Staffing, is evidenced by the growth in our customer and project base. In the 2006 fiscal year the ISTCL customer base has grown by 84% (over 2005) with an expanding project base at 200% over 2005"

Reforming the way the Long-Term Care program interacts with the sector, in the spring of 2004, ISTCL developed an e- Government portal for the Ministry to serve as a communication vehicle between the Ministry and providers of long-term care. The portal provides functionality for collecting and dissemination required information while furthering the e-Government strategy. The portal currently supports three major initiatives for LTC as well as serving as a news and announcements site. The work of this project is intended to add dynamic functionality for the reporting of Critical Incidents (CI).

Through on open RFP competition by the Continuing Care eHealth Council, ISTCL submitted a winning proposal that outlines our expertise in this area. Over the next few months ISTCL resources will be working with Ministry staff to develop, pilot and implement the Critical Incidents System across the province.

This new ISTCL built on-line solution will be used to support the submission and processing of CI reports by the sector to the Ministry, allowing providers to electronically submit their critical incidents reports through the sector portal that they currently use. The processes being supported by this application to seamlessly integrate into Ministry operations.

The benefits to the Ministry and the Long-Term Care Homes Sector for selecting ISTCL to build this solution include:

  • Efficiency Improvements
  • Information simplification
  • Improved accountability of the sector and Ministry
  • Business Flow Improvement
  • Business Value Enhancement

ISTCL President, Robert Preston, while announcing this achievement, said, "This ISTCL project affirms our expertise in the Health Care sector and will form the foundation for significantly improved service delivery information."

ISTCL has committed and proven growth in delivering the right solutions for administrative and direct service and support within the Health Care System in Canada

ISTCL is a vendor of record to the Government of Ontario, Canada Health Infoway and recently acknowledged by the Branham Group as being amoung the top 250 tech companies in Canada for 2006.
