istcl has been notified by eHealth Ontario's Chief Operating Officer both of the Agency's intention to shelve RFP's issued for IT Services and to utilize existing Ontario Government Vendor of Record agreements for the in procurement and provision of these same IT professional services. The notice received today outlines eHealth Ontario's decision to "utilize the Ontario government’s [existing] Vendor of Records for consulting related services".

As an existing Vendor of Record with the Ontario Government under I&IT Task (VOR 1019), IT Management Services (VOR 1023) as well as numerous others including General Management Consulting Services, istcl is pleased that the Agency has recognized these arrangements.

While the rescinded RFPs only envisioned the selection of a maximum of 5 and 7 vendors respectively, by shifting to the existing Ontario VOR arrangements, numerous pre-qualified firms will result in more options becoming available to supply these services in a more competitive procurement environment.

This changes signifies recognition of istcl and the IT Services Vendor Community as being both willing and able to meet the Agency's current and future needs. This shift also ensures increased accountability on IT professional services procurement processes and spending, with MGCS Supply Chain Management establishing rules of engagements, and monitoring VOR usage.
